AWARENESS INSIGHT MEDITATION

Experienced Meditator Immersions

  • AIM Advanced Meditation Immersion

    July - October, 2026

This three-month immersion is designed for meditators or meditation teachers who feel called to go beyond structure and technique, into the depth of their own lived practice. This is not teaching training, but a practice container and exploration. We will gradually build into half-day sits. This course is a vehicle to extend your capacity to sit, to feel, to witness, and to meet yourself at increasingly subtle, not-so-subtle, and honest layers. It’s also a chance to spend time with others interested in this exploration. Also, if you have strayed from your practice a little or a lot, this is a wonderful return. Can be done online or in-person in Auckland.

It is designed to be gradually challenging and to lead you gently to your edges.

  • AIM Advanced Practice Retreat

    June 19 - 22, 2026

A dream weekend, this retreat is an invitation into deeper practice, extended stillness, and uninterrupted dedication to your practice. Held over three nights, this immersion offers the opportunity to reset and shift your relationship to meditation.

Tucked away on Waiheke Island in a private, secluded setting, it is also a chance to revisit longer Rounding sessions, allowing for a more integrated meditation experience over the days. With nourishing food and everything taken care of, you can commit to your inner exploration and spend time alongside a like-minded group. This is a tech-free retreat.

This retreat is purposefully small: 4 - 5 students.

Awareness Insight Meditation is an “Open-Monitoring” style of mediation that is non-dogmatic in its approach but with influences from Eastern traditions, modern psychology, and weaves in the neuroscience of meditation in an accessible way.

At the heart of AIM is learning how to cultivate a consistent meditation practice. Our approach not only teaches students how, when, and for how long to practice, but also provides ongoing guidance and support to help them stay steady on their path.

To truly absorb and embody the transformative power of meditation, consistency is key. This training helps you become a committed meditator, while offering deep insight into what it means to be fully human. What you gain from your practice will always reflect the time, presence, and sincerity you bring to it. But perhaps most importantly, it asks how willing you are to surrender to the process itself.

AIM is taught via a 3-part meditation course by a certified AIM teacher.
