MEDITATION

About The 3-PART Course

AIM is taught in a three part foundational course with an experienced and certified AIM teacher. In this course our students learn everything they need to know about meditation in order to cultivate a daily practice or deepen an existing practice. It stands apart from many meditation courses in that it reveals and explains meditation as a "process" and way of life, rather than just a technique. In fact, to teach meditation as a technique is just the tip of a beautiful, deep and revelatory iceberg.

This yeacher becomes ‘your’ teacher, and will support you as you become a consistent meditator.

The AIM course is one of the most comprehensive meditation programs out there. It covers foundations of meditation, demystifying the practice and making it both accessible and meaningful.

It offers a clear, science-backed framework alongside helping students move beyond confusion or overwhelm.

Whether you're completely new to meditation or deepening an existing practice, this course makes daily meditation not only achievable, but essential. With supportive guidance, structure, and insight, AIM helps turn meditation into a grounded, sustainable part of your everyday life.

Part 1: Intro & Awareness

We begin by grounding students in the what, why, and how of meditation. This module clears up common misconceptions and offers a fresh understanding of what meditation truly is—and what it isn’t.

You'll explore the three layers of awareness, learning how to use attention not just as a technique, but as a powerful way of being. We break down the core principles of practice: how to meditate, when to meditate. This is where the journey begins—by learning to pay attention on purpose.

Part 2: The Psychology of Being Human / The Insights

This is where AIM truly sets itself apart. Unlike many meditation courses that focus solely on technique, we dive into the inner workings of the mind—because understanding what we’re up against is essential for meaningful, lasting change.

In this module, we explore the core patterns of human psychology: how habits form, why resistance shows up, and the unconscious loops that keep us stuck. You'll learn how meditation works with these patterns—not against them—bringing insight, awareness, and compassion to the places that need it most.

We also introduce the transformative power of radical acceptance—not as passive resignation, but as an active and empowering shift toward peace and freedom. These insights help you build a sustainable practice rooted in self-understanding, not self-discipline.

Part 3: Meditation as a Commitment & a Process

Meditation is not a destination—it’s a process of unfolding. It’s a practice that keeps you company, hopefully throughout your life. Part 3 explores what it really means to commit to the meditative path and trust this gradual, often non-linear journey.

You’ll learn the key phases of the process—from restlessness and resistance to stillness and insight—and how these shifts are reflected in the brain and body. We introduce the neuroscience of meditation, including how different brainwave states (from beta to alpha, theta, and sometimes delta) correlate with different depths of awareness and presence. These aren’t esoteric concepts—they’re measurable states that show how the mind and body begin to recalibrate with consistent practice.

We also explore the mind-body connection and how meditation helps regulate the nervous system, restore balance, and increase resilience. This is about more than just sitting still—it’s about showing up, staying curious, and letting the process change you.

When you learn Awareness Insight Meditation (AIM) you’ll develop the tools to support your own daily practice. Awareness Insight Meditation is a style of meditation that is accessible and simple to integrate into daily life, with profound results.
